Great Lodge Wedding Videography | Molly & Jack

Molly & Jack’s Stormy Wedding - Great Lodge Wedding Videography

Molly and Jack found me on social media and we set up a Skype meeting to chat about their wedding plans. We had a really good giggle together when we chatted, as they joined in in their PJs! Because of this, I knew they were going to be a fun relaxed couple! Keep scrolling to check out their Great Lodge wedding videography and to read all about their wedding day!

Great Lodge in Essex

Great Lodge is a beautiful, family-run estate in North West Essex. The stunning Anne of Cleves Barn is where weddings are held and it's such a beautiful space.

Storm Hannah had landed in Essex on the day of Molly and Jack's wedding and the winds were in force, but we stayed safely tucked away inside the venue.

Getting Ready with the Girls

Molly spent the morning with her two bridesmaids, her mum and her mum-in-law to be. Hair and makeup was in full swing, while everyone sipped prosecco and relaxed.

When everyone's hair and makeup was complete, it was time for Molly to put on her beautiful dress. I loved the combination of lace and tulle. Molly's look was finished off with pretty pink flowers in her hair. Everyone was emotional, especially Molly's Nan and Dad as they saw her for the first time.

Getting Ready with the Boys

Jack had a really big party of groomsmen and they all looked amazing together. They all wore mismatched velvet jackets and bow ties and their look was finished burnt orange buttonholes. I loved their style!

We took some shots of them inside, using window light, along with some documentary shots of them all hanging out and chatting. We then headed outside for some edgy shots in the wind. Even the venue's dog got involved.

The Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony room was styled with rustic pink and green flowers and loads of foliage. It looked really beautiful. There was a guitarist playing and his suit was a beautiful rustic pink to match the decor!

Jack waited nervously at the top of the aisle, while guests chatted. Molly walked up the aisle towards Jack and the ceremony started.
The ceremony was simple but fun. Molly and Jack were really excited and the second they were married they threw their arms in the air and cheered.

The Drinks Reception

Guests made their way outside to create a confetti tunnel. Molly and Jack arrived on a golf buggy and then they walked through a shower of confetti, as the wind swirled around them.

Everyone then retreated out of the wind, and made their way to the marquee for canapes and drinks. The styling was quirky and rustic, with a gin bar and, rugs and soft furnishing. I loved shooting everyone in the marquee. Everyone was really happy and there was still a good amount of confetti being thrown around.

Molly's Nana was smiling from ear to ear with pride. It was so lovely to see!

Portraits in the Grounds of Great Lodge

Molly and Jack took some time to step away from their guests, so we could head out into the grounds of Great Lodge for some portraits. They were so natural in front of the camera. It was totally effortless and a joy to capture.

The group shots were really fun! The bridal party were happy to be playful and silly, and we took some really fun shots!

Dinner and Styling

Dinner was a Mediterranean feast, with rice, fish and chorizo. It was delicious. Guests ate in the barn which was styled with rustic pastel pinks, lots of foliage and homey rugs and sofas. There was also a vintage-style photo booth, a personalised sweetie table and light up 'LOVE' letters.

The First Dance and Party

I loved the dance floor. It was multicoloured and lit up everyone amazingly. Molly and Jack were by each other's side from their first dance until the end of the evening. They were in their own little bubble and filming them being so clearly in love was a dream.

The party was amazing! The whole wedding party really knew how to party! I was even pulled into the dancing at one point. It was great to film such a lively crowd!

I loved being a part of Molly and Jack's wedding. If you're looking for Great Lodge wedding videography, or photography or videography across Herts or Essex I'd love to chat with you. You might also want to check out other recent work on my blog
