Kate and Danny's Motown Themed Moor Hall Wedding Videography
Kate reached out to me on social media and we set up a call to chat about their Moor Hall wedding videography. We got on great and when they told me they were having a Motown themed wedding, I was really excited.

The Wedding Ceremony
Moor Hall is a lovely, family-run venue in Essex. I arrived before the ceremony and took some footage of the beautiful grounds before everything got started.Kate and Danny planned to have an outdoor ceremony but the heavens opened, so it was moved indoors. Guests chatted amongst themselves, while Danny waited for Kate to make her entrance. The string quartet started playing, as Kate and her dad walked up the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony, with a lovely reading.
When the vows were exchanged, Kate and Danny exited together hand in hand. They were presented with a big glass of prosecco each.
The Drinks Reception
Everyone went outside and gathered around Kate and Danny for a confetti shower. While there was a break in the clouds, we took some group shots, before heading into the grounds for portraits. It was a super relaxed vibe with a lot of laughter.
It was dinner time in the marquee and everyone was seated waiting for the happy couple to make their entrance! Everyone cheered as they took their seats at the top table.
Speeches took place before dinner. Kate's dad had vowed not to cry but when he got up to speak he couldn’t hold his tears back!
Dinner
Dinner was a traditional roast and it was delicious. I had a chance to catch up with one of my future couples who were there as guests. They even bought me some chocolates, which was sweet.
As dinner was finishing up the sun was setting and it was a magical sunset. We whisked Kate and Danny outside, to capture them in the beautiful golden light. The whole sky was orange and red. It was breathtaking.
Styling
Kate and Danny love to travel so they had a travel theme, with touches of Motown throughout the wedding. They had a map of the world for their seating plan, a tree to hang photos of their passed loved ones, and each table had a photograph of them in a different country. The bridesmaids dresses were a vintage green/blue and they all wore pink heels and pearls.
Party and Entertainment
For entertainment, there was a magic mirror, a 10 piece Motown band and an ice cream truck!
The first dance was lovely, the band played their song and the lights illuminated them, as they moved around the dancefloor. Kate then danced to an upbeat song with her dad and Danny pulled his mum onto the dancefloor.
The band played a really funky set and it gave the party a jazzy vintage vibe. The dance floor was always packed and everyone had so much fun!
