Lodge Barn Farm Wedding Videography | Jessica and James

Jessica and James’ Colourful Lodge Barn Farm Wedding Videography in Essex

Jessica and James found me online and came to meet me at my Hertfordshire office. We all got on like a house on fire and I was really excited when they booked me for their wedding video at The Barns at Lodge Farm.

The Barns at Lodge Farm is a beautiful, rural farm venue near Nazing, in Essex. It was the perfect backdrop for Jessica and James's autumnal wedding day. Keep scrolling to read about this Lodge Barn Farm wedding!

Getting Ready

Jessica got ready at her mum's house. When I arrive Jessica's sister was busy putting together bouquets. They were absolutely beautiful with burnt oranges and reds, all tied together with twine.

Hair and make-up was in full swing and there was a lot of excited chatter about the day. It was a great opportunity to capture natural footage of everyone together.

It was soon time for Jessica to get into her dress, which she did with the help of her bridesmaids. Jessica's Dad waited on the landing and as soon as Jessica stepped out, he teared up. It was a beautiful moment and everyone was emotional.

The Wedding Ceremony at The Barns at Lodge Farm Barn

I arrived at The Barns to be greeted by beautiful Autumnal details, including pumpkins and haystacks.

James and his groomsmen looked dapper in their blue suits, with orange accessories. The colours really popped. Guests started to arrive and they made their way into the bar, for a pre-ceremony drink.

Jessica arrived with her bridal party, then their two little dogs arrived all dressed up for the occasion. They were adorable and so well behaved. It's almost like they posed for the camera!

James was waiting nervously in the ceremony room, while guests took their seats. The sunlight crept into the barn through the cracks and it created a magical, rustic vibe.

The ceremony took place in front of a beautiful arch that was decorated with pumpkins. It was simple yet emotional and full of joy. As Jessica and James’ exited, a Mariachi band appeared and started playing! This was a surprise to James and he was in total shock. It was amazing.

The Drinks Reception

After a shower of confetti, everyone mingled and enjoyed the mariachi band. Drinks were flowing and the day was in full swing. Everyone was having a great time.

We then took Jessica and James off for their couple portraits session and the dogs came along too. Portraits were relaxed and natural. We then did some group shots by the barn.

Dinner

Dinner was delicious! There was a selection of rice, meats and salad. Everyone really enjoyed it. After dinner, we headed out into the fields for some beautiful sunset shots. Jessica looked super cool in her personalised leather jacket.

Autumnal Styling

The reception room was out of this world. The tables were covered in pumpkins, candles and beautiful flowers by Jessica’s sister Rachel.  There were personalised touches, including coasters and cushions, as well as a hand made leaf installation hanging from the ceiling. They even had Mr & Mrs pumpkins!

The First Dance, Party, and Entertainment

The first dance was really cute. A confetti cannon showered down as they slow danced. Jessica also danced with her dad, as her mum watched.
They finished up with a family dance, which was sweet.

The party was great! Jessica and James wore Disney hats and danced the night away together. The dance floor was packed all night! ABBA was definitely a feature and everyone loved it. Guests were entertained with a sweetie table, photo booth and a fire pit with marshmallows.
