Gaynes Park Wedding Videography | Lisa & Phil

Lisa and Phil’s Gaynes Park Wedding Videography

A Relaxed and Lovely Essex Wedding

Lisa and Phil were referred to me by their friends, who also booked me for their wedding. It's always really lovely when clients refer me on and I was especially excited to shoot at Gaynes Park as I love it - it was a real treat! Keep scrolling to read about Lisa and Phil’s Gaynes Park wedding videography and here’s their film for you to check out!

Getting ready with the Girls

There's a lovely little house on-site at Gaynes Park, and Lisa, her bridesmaids and mum all spent the morning there getting ready. The weather wasn't playing ball and it rained and rained, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits.

Phil sent Lisa some thoughtful gifts to open and it was a really lovely, emotional moment. I even teared up behind my camera!

The first gift was a CD player with a CD mix of all of the songs that reminded him of her. Gift 2 was a charm that included hair from Lisa's horse, Cherry. Cherry passed away, so receiving this gift was really emotional for Lisa.  Finally, Phil got Lisa a signed card from The Stereophonics, one of their favourite bands.

After all the tears were wiped away, wedding prep got back into full swing! Prosecco was poured, they put on some music and carried on getting ready for the day. After the final touches were in place, we did a bridesmaid reveal shot and then Lisa had an emotional moment with her dad.

Meeting up with The Groom and Groomsmen

The boys were getting ready in the other on-site house, so I headed over there to spend some time with them. Phil's dad helped him into his suit and then they all headed outside for some portraits with the beautiful vintage camper van they'd hired for the day. Phil also had a gift and card to open and, brilliantly, Lisa also got him a signed card from The Stereophonics. It was honestly so cute, and talk about being in sync!

The Ceremony

Gaynes Park’s ceremony room is one of my favourites, it’s all glass and with really beautiful light. Phil waited nervously, chatting to guests. Then the music started and the bridal party made their way up the path, and into the ceremony room.

The ceremony was lovely and everyone in the room had a smile on their face!

The Drinks Reception

There was a light summer drizzle outside, so guests stayed indoors. After a welcome drink, guests were entertained by a caricaturist. The drawings were amazing and really funny. Everyone loved them.

Because of the weather, we took some group shots in the conservatory. It's a beautiful, light and bright space, so it's the perfect wet weather back-up plan. It worked out great.

After the groups were finished, we took a couple of umbrellas and headed out into the groups of Gaynes Park so Lisa and Phil could spend some time together on their own, having some portraits.

Dinner at Gaynes Park

After the drinks, everyone sat down for dinner. It was delicious and it was really sweet of Lisa and Phil to include me for dinner, as well as giving me one of the favours.

The wedding colour scheme was light blues and whites. It had a really elegant and traditional feel to it. The decor was simple, Gaynes Park doesn’t need much dressing up as it's so beautiful.

After dinner, we took Lisa and Phil into the gardens and over to the fields. The sun was starting to set and we got some epic golden hour shots, complete with sheep in the background. It was beautiful.

Entertainment, the First Dance, and the Party!

The caricaturist stayed around capturing amazing portraits of guests, and there were plenty of lawn games, including an intense game of Jenga or two!

After dinner, the dancing was kicked off with a sweet first dance and an emotional father and daughter dance. The music then kicked up a notch, with 'Shut up and Dance'. Lisa and Phill danced enthusiastically to this and all of their guests joined them! The energy on the dancefloor was amazing, as guests started swinging each other around and dancing in sync!

This high energy dancing was fuelled by a pizza oven and the pizza was absolutely delicious.
