Lucy & Callum's Wedding Film at Blake Hall
I have added all of their film stills to this story and you can watch the video in a link at the end.
In April, I spent the day at Blake Hall in Essex filming Lucy and Callum’s special wedding day. The sun came out and the weather was bright and clear.
I arrived at Blake Hall in the morning and started filming all of the flowers and beautiful grounds, if you didn’t know, my wedding films always start with flowers!
I went inside to meet Lucy, her bridesmaids and mum to start filming all of the getting ready and excitement. Everyone was in good spirits, chatting away and drinking Prosecco.
I always make sure to film every bridesmaid, mum, all the dresses and little details of the morning because this is where all the nerves are and anticipation of the day.
The build up to the ceremony is so precious and such a important part of your day.
Lucy looked absolutely stunning and definitely shined bright on the morning of her wedding. She glowed. Lucy was smiling all morning and just enjoyed the experience.
The bridesmaids and Lucy’s mum were also in good spirits.
The day was coming along nicely and Callum and the groomsmen had arrived so I took a walk with the photographer to meet the guys. They had a bottle of champagne and was ready to get the party started and also to take the edge off the nerves.
After we had captured the groomsmen we then went back to Lucy and the girls to film the final touches and getting the dress on. Lucy and Callum’s daughter arrived with he flower girls and it was a cute moment.
It was finally time for Lucy to get in her beautiful dress and get ready to meet her fiancé for the first time of the day. The final touches of her dress were added and we then filmed some portraits of Lucy. Her mum also popped in to get a sneak peek of her daughter.
Lucy’s portraits were stunning and the photographers I worked with captured Lucy perfectly too. It was time for Lucy’s dad to meet her at the house and take her to her ceremony! Everyone was rushing around last minute to make sure everyone was absolutely ready.
While Lucy’s dad was seeing his beautiful daughter, all of the guests and Callum were at the ceremony. Callum was excited and nervous all in one. He waited patiently for his bride to arrive with the help of his supportive groomsmen.
It was time for the service to begin and for Lucy and Callum to make their forever vows to each other.
It was a beautiful service and everything went smoothly. Lots of big smiles all the way through. It was now time for Lucy and Callum to sign their book and take their exit walk as Mr & Mrs for the first time.
Everyone began to enjoy drinks on the green and congratulate the newlyweds while enjoying some entertainment.
After the guests enjoyed the talented singer and drinks, it was time to do the group photographs and I always film naturally with the photographers to capture those funny moments and cute ones of all the family.
After the family session we then took Callum and Lucy off for a walk around the grounds for their couple session.
The couple session went really well and everything was lovely and relaxed. We walked back to where the guests were and it was nearly time for dinner and speeches.
Everyone always gets really nervous with speeches and can you blame them? It’s the one chance to really express how you feel about the ones you love.
There was certainly a few tears shed at the speeches but the best man definitely made everyone laugh with his jokes. Blake Hall’s reception barn is stunning, filled with fairy lights and sparkly awesomeness. The food was delicious! Me and the two photographers sat in the gardens and enjoyed a beautiful meal together.
The night was getting later which meant only one thing! Cake, first dances, photo booths and lots of fun!
Everyone joined in with the first dance which was a nice touch to get the party started. The song choice was beautiful too. It’s a lovely moment when everyone comes together to celebrate the love between two people. It’s precious, I guess that’s why I love filming it so much. it’s so important to capture these memories.
The party was amazing, full of laughing, dancing and photo booth silly faces.
Lucy & Callum’s day was beautiful, fun and relaxed. I am so please I got to film their special day for them. They may look back at their video in 20 years time and feel all the emotions of the day again and I am so chuffed I can give that to them.
